Only convenience fees compete with one another. We charge no more than one convenience fee—the highest one that applies. The notarial-act and travel fees are still charged separately and are never replaced or reduced by this rule.

Reschedule once without a fee. A cancellation may incur a $25 fee.

If travel has already begun: The applicable mobile travel fee will be charged instead of the cancellation fee—you will not be charged both.
An appointment may be treated as a no-show when the signer is unavailable or more than 15 minutes late without communicating with the notary. This also applies when the required identification, witnesses, or documents are unavailable and the appointment cannot proceed.
No notarial-act fee is charged when no notarization is performed. Cancellation, no-show, and travel fees are separate business-service fees. Outstanding fees must be paid before another appointment can be booked. Fees may be waived for emergencies or circumstances beyond the customer’s control at the discretion of The Salty Desk.
